Show Don’t Tell (Part II)

You’re walking down a busy street littered with restaurants, laundromats and hair stylists. Two different businesses have the following Yelp ads on their windows:

Which one is more compelling? Setting aside my horrific photography skills, I’d bet the second version, complete with actual reviews from Yelp customers, is a bit more enticing. It certainly caught my attention.

Again, we see the principles of Show vs. Tell at work. Both business owners are marketing the exact same thing, just in different ways.
