“I Shouldn’t Be Here” Tomato Guerrilla Marketing Stunt

Organic food company Muir Glen has left hundreds of tomatoes scattered throughout Boston, each with signs that read, “I Shouldn’t Be Here” in bold letters.

The guerrilla marketing stunt is meant to communicate the fact that tomatoes are currently out of season, but Muir Glen’s canned products are always created from fresh peak-season ingredients.

While there seemed to exist some social media backlash at the perceived “waste of food”, the brand donated products to a local food charity as part of the campaign.
